Uber has introduced a new hotel booking feature to enrich users' travel experience. This innovation was announced at the Go-Get event held in New York, and thanks to Uber's collaboration with Expedia Group, access to over 700,000 hotels worldwide will be provided.
For Uber One subscribers, advantages such as a 20% discount at select hotels for reservations made through the app and a 10% Uber Credit refund on all bookings will be offered.
Dara Khosrowshahi emphasized that Uber has now become not just a ride-hailing app but also a comprehensive travel platform.
Travel Mode and New Features
Another innovation introduced at the event was the travel mode. This mode provides users with guidance about the places they visit, offering tourist attractions and local recommendations. It will also be supported by a room service center that reminds users of forgotten items.
Shopping and Ordering Innovations
Additionally, Uber has developed a new feature called “Eats for the Way,” allowing customers to order drinks or snacks they want to have ready in the car. With the “Shop for Me” feature, users can create a system to request products from stores that are not listed.
AI-Powered Innovations
Finally, Uber has integrated AI-powered search functions into its app. Customers will be able to make vehicle reservations using voice commands; for example, they can request a suitable vehicle for going to the airport.
