As a result of the auction process conducted by the Saving Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF), Türkiye Emlak Katılım Bankası has become the new owner of Papara. The winning party was determined in the auction held for the sale of Papara's parent company, PPR Holding, and its subsidiaries.
This sale began with the auction announcement made in January. The auction included not only Papara Elektronik Para but also other companies such as Papara Teknoloji, Papara Sigorta, and Papara Menkul Değerler.
While details about the auction process remain limited, it appears that the process concluded after evaluating the bids. The previously announced starting price was stated as 4.27 billion TL; however, no official information has yet been provided regarding the final sale price.
According to data in the Capital Markets Board (SPK) bulletin, there has been a change in the partnership structure of Papara Menkul Değerler. Shares that were previously 100% owned by PPR Holding have now been transferred to Türkiye Emlak Katılım Bankası.
This situation has resulted in Papara coming under the control of a public bank. The sale process has been completed following previous appointments of trustees and the transfer to TMSF management.
