Recreating Traditional Music with Artificial Intelligence

Recreating Traditional Music with Artificial Intelligence

Leveraging the power of artificial intelligence, Muzica, which recreates traditional Turkish music, was launched in the last quarter of 2025 in Istanbul. Muzica stands out as an application and content project developed by DokuzDoksan Advertising Agency. It is currently actively available on iOS, Android, and web platforms.

The first version of Muzica was prepared by a team of four over approximately seven months. The application was coded from scratch for iOS using Swift/SwiftUI, while the Android side was developed using Flutter, and the web version was designed with Next.js infrastructure. A total of 33 AI personas customized for each music genre and advanced parameter optimizations enriched the user experience.

User Experience and Features

According to data shared by the platform, Muzica has approximately 3,000 active users. The average user interaction time is measured at 18 minutes. The installation time of the application is only 30 seconds, and song production takes an average of 3 minutes. The platform features a total of 33 music genres, 40 instruments, and 6 mood modes in both Turkish and English.

Users can write their own lyrics or receive support from commands provided by the AI. After selecting a genre and mood, they can quickly create their own songs.

Muzica application interface

The Muzica team states that similar platforms at the international level do not offer a unique experience for Turkish music. Therefore, the initiative is designed to meet the needs of Turkish users. For example, it is possible to produce personalized music for occasions like Valentine's Day or birthday celebrations.

Music created with traditional Turkish instruments

Muzica has separate AI systems for each music genre; this makes it easier to create works that appeal to different emotions. For instance, a sad expression stands out in the arabesque genre, while the structure is preserved in folk music.

With all these features, Muzica is currently fully financed by its own resources and plans to generate revenue through a freemium model. Users start with a free trial credit and can continue with various credit packages or monthly subscription options.

While the team focuses on growing in the Turkish market in the short term, they also have international expansion goals. They aim to increase the number of monthly active users tenfold by the end of the year.
