Apple is preparing to expand its goals in the field of augmented reality. It is claimed that the company is working on smart glasses designs suitable for daily use, in addition to the Vision Pro, and is currently testing four alternative models.
New Design Approaches
Renowned analyst Mark Gurman indicates that Apple is experimenting with various frame styles and color options. This suggests that the company plans to present its smart glasses not only as a technology product but also as a fashion element. Especially considering the successful collaboration between Meta and Ray-Ban, it is clear that design elements are crucial for Apple in terms of competition.
Although the exact specifications of the prototypes have not yet been determined, they are expected to have lightweight structures and be suitable for daily use. It is believed that a more affordable and continuously usable structure is aimed compared to the Vision Pro. This strategy aligns with Apple’s efforts to reduce dependence on the iPhone in the long term.
After highlighting the concept of "spatial computing" with the Vision Pro, Apple may be trying to implement this vision in a lighter and more socially integrated manner.
