In this context, a model inspired by Google’s Books Premium is being discussed. The Books Premium subscription offers users an ad-free and smoother reading experience, and a similar model is thought to be applicable to Chromebooks as well. For instance, privileges such as cloud storage services or AI-powered productivity tools are likely to be included in this package.
With this new strategy, the company aims to maintain Chromebooks' strong position in education and low-cost markets while offering attractive options for high-end users and professional scenarios.
