Apple's AI-Centric New Hardware Vision

Apple's AI-centric new hardware vision

Apple is stepping into a new era in hardware. Under the leadership of the new CEO John Ternus, the existing device ecosystem is being shaped around artificial intelligence technologies. This strategy directly ties the brand's future hardware vision to AI integration and fundamentally renews the device development processes.

New Product Categories

According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple has three main product categories focused on artificial intelligence. The first is smart glasses. These devices will not only project notifications but will also be equipped with cameras, microphones, and sensors that can perceive their surroundings. They are expected to provide information based on the user's location or the object they are looking at. Advanced AI models are anticipated to support functionalities like real-time translation and visual recognition.

The second category is smart home devices. Here, a screen-equipped smart hub product stands out. This device is intended to perform various functions such as FaceTime calls and home automation. Thanks to AI, it is planned to offer an assistant experience that learns user habits and provides proactive suggestions.

The third area is the more innovative robotic systems. In addition to desktop robotic devices still in early stages, work is ongoing on mobile assistant prototypes. In the long term, these products are expected to enhance interactions in the physical world.

All these initiatives are seen as part of Apple's desire to become independent from the iPhone cycle in its growth strategy. Therefore, more bold and category-defining steps in hardware are expected from Apple in the upcoming period.
